These terms apply every time you use Rechargely. By starting a payment on rechargely.online or by messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Rechargely is a digital bill payment and airtime service operated by Jugaad (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Zimbabwe with its registered office at 91 Livingstone Avenue, Harare, Zimbabwe. In these terms, "Rechargely", "we", "us" and "our" mean Jugaad (Pvt) Ltd; "you" means the person using the service.
You can reach us at support@rechargely.online or +263 77 983 4648.
2. What Rechargely does
Rechargely is an intermediary. You choose a service — airtime, a data bundle, electricity, a subscription or another listed product — you tell us which number or account it is for, and you pay. We pass the instruction and the money to the biller or service provider, who delivers the value.
We do not generate the airtime, the electricity token or the subscription ourselves, and we are not the biller. What we are responsible for is taking your instruction accurately, passing it on promptly, and giving you a record of what happened.
You do not need a Rechargely account. Most purchases require only the number or account reference being paid for and a payment method.
3. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and to use the payment method you present.
You may pay for someone else's number or account. If you do, you confirm that you are entitled to make that payment and that the recipient is content for you to do so.
4. Getting the details right
This is the most important clause on this page. Airtime, data and electricity are delivered to the number or meter you type in. Once a purchase has been delivered, it cannot be recalled or moved to a different number.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the mobile number, meter number, account number or other reference you enter. We show you those details on a review screen before any money moves — please check them there. Where a biller supports it, we validate the reference before payment, but validation is not a guarantee that the number is the one you meant.
If value is delivered to the wrong number because the reference you supplied was wrong, we will help you approach the biller, but we cannot reverse the delivery and we cannot refund it.
5. Prices, discounts and fees
Prices are shown in the currency stated on the product, and the total payable — including any service fee or tax — is shown before you confirm. Prices are set by the biller and can change without notice; the price that applies is the one displayed at the moment you confirm your payment.
Where a discount or promotion is running, it is applied automatically when your payment is priced, and the discounted total is what you see at checkout. Promotions apply only to the products described, may be limited in time or volume, and can be varied or withdrawn at any time. A promotion that was not applied at checkout cannot be claimed afterwards.
6. Payment
Payment is taken on a secure hosted checkout operated by our payment partner, Finivex, using EcoCash, OneMoney, TeleCash, InnBucks, Omari, Visa, Mastercard, ZimSwitch or PayPal, depending on what is available to you.
Card numbers, mobile money PINs and wallet credentials are entered on the payment partner's page and are never seen, handled or stored by Rechargely. Your relationship with the payment provider for the mechanics of the payment itself is governed by their own terms.
7. Delivery, receipts and proof
Most purchases are delivered within seconds of a successful payment. Some — electricity tokens in particular — depend on the biller's own systems and can take longer.
After checkout you are returned to a status page that tracks the transaction, and a receipt is sent by SMS or WhatsApp, and by email if you supplied an address. Every transaction carries a reference number. That reference and the receipt we issue are the record of the transaction; a screenshot of a chat or a status page is not.
8. Failed, delayed and pending payments
A payment can fail or stall for reasons outside our control: the biller is unreachable, the meter or number is barred, the network is down, or the payment provider declines the transaction. When that happens the status page shows the transaction as failed or pending rather than complete.
If we have taken payment and the biller has not delivered, we will either retry delivery or return the money to the method you paid with. Where a transaction sits pending, please allow it to settle before paying again — paying twice for the same bill usually results in the value being delivered twice, which we cannot reverse.
9. Refunds
Because value is delivered instantly and cannot be recovered from the recipient's account, refunds are limited to:
- payments we took where the service was never delivered; and
- amounts charged in error by us.
Refunds are made to the payment method used for the original transaction, and the time they take to appear depends on that provider. We do not refund a purchase that was delivered correctly to the reference you supplied, a purchase you no longer want, or a purchase sent to the wrong number because of a typing error.
To raise a refund, contact support@rechargely.online with the transaction reference within 30 days of the payment.
10. Referrals
If someone shares a referral link or code with you, you may enter it before paying. Referral rewards, where offered, are described at the point of the offer. We may withhold a reward, and may suspend access, where a referral scheme is being gamed — self-referral, bulk sign-ups, or automated activity.
11. The WhatsApp channel
Rechargely is also reachable on WhatsApp. The same terms apply there. Two things are specific to that channel:
- Messages travel over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Meta's own terms and privacy policy govern the transport of those messages.
- Conversations are assisted by automated and AI-driven responses. A confirmation step precedes anything that moves money, and an automated reply is not financial advice.
Never send a PIN, password or full card number in a chat message. Anything sensitive is collected inside a secure, encrypted form, never in the message body — if a message asks you to type a PIN into the chat, it did not come from us.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for money laundering, fraud, or the proceeds of crime;
- pay with a method you are not authorised to use;
- resell or automate access to the service without our written agreement;
- attempt to probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure; or
- impersonate another person or misrepresent a transaction to a biller, a bank or us.
We may refuse, delay or reverse a transaction, and may decline to serve you, where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a breach of these terms, or where we are required to by law or by a payment partner.
13. Availability
We work to keep Rechargely available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network faults, biller outages and payment provider downtime all interrupt it. Product availability, categories and billers change as our partners change.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that: we are liable for delivering the service we took your money for, and our total liability for any transaction is limited to the amount you paid for that transaction. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost income, lost data, or loss arising because a service was unavailable when you needed it — nor for the acts of a biller, a network operator or a payment provider.
15. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. If you want your data deleted, see Data Deletion.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. The contracting party is Jugaad (Pvt) Ltd, of 91 Livingstone Avenue, Harare, Zimbabwe.
Please raise a complaint with us first at support@rechargely.online. Most problems are a reference number and a few minutes away from being resolved.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here at the time of your transaction is the one that applies to it. Continuing to use Rechargely after a change means you accept the updated terms.
